Referral Information for young people with or experiencing EBSA, SEND, EBD, SCMH.

 

Referrals to The Lighthouse, for therapeutic or education placements are made through the young person’s school or Local Authority, and in most cases this is through the SEND team. 

 

If you are a parent or a carer, we would recommend speaking to your education provider or Local Authority.

If you wish to refer a child or young person to us, please email thelighthouseed@gmail.com for a referral form. 

 

Please include relevant documents, such as an EHCP and/or other assessments as appropriate. You can also email the referral team with any questions you have.

THE REFERRAL PROCESS OVERVIEW

As a team we review all referrals. We expect to respond to each referral within 2 weeks of the date referred. 

It may be necessary for the young person to experience a taster session before the referral is accepted.

Funding for placements are calculated on a ‘per term’ basis and due before the start of each term (or calculated pro-rata and paid on starting if starting date is mid-term).
